A flying saucer with a potato bake on it

I introduce you to my meat and potato bake, a real treat for the coming cold autumn evenings. This is also M.’s absolute favourite so it makes a good bribe! The dish requires minimal preparation and uses simple ingredients, leaving more time to enjoy it!

500g mince meat (I used pork)
250g potatoes (uncooked)
200ml single cream
100ml milk
curry madras spices
salt, pepper

How to do it
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180c
2. Chop onion and fry with olive oil until soft. Add mince meat, season, add spices and fry until brown. Mix cream with milk and season
3. Slice potatoes thinly (max 50mm) and make a first layer in a oven proof dish. Make another layer with meat and add some sauce. Repeat  the layers – potatoes, meat and sauce and top with cheese
4. Bake for 50mins

  1. So..ive made it last week and it was delicious.ive added some mushrooms and fresh chilli to the meat and some herbs to the sauce. Will definitely make it again!:)
