I like to think of smoothies as colourful vitamin shots served in a glass. And ever since I bought a blender, I smoothie all fruits I can get my hands on. Borderline addiction. It’s so quick and easy that I started making smoothies in the mornings on my way to work – do wet and cold mornings get any better than that?
Great thing about smoothies is there is no right or wrong combination or ratios of fruits you can use – whatever you fancy or have available, change the combination every single time! Today I was planning to use strawberries and mango but since these have ‘mysteriously’ disappeared from the fridge, I used up some leftover blueberries. These can be quite bland when mixed with plain yoghurt so I added some lime juice to give it a little zing.
Blueberry & lime breakfast smoothie
- 200ml natural yoghurt
- 50ml milk
- 50ml vanilla ice cream (optional)
- 100g blueberries
- 3 tbsp lime juice (or to taste)
- 3 tbsp honey
How to do it
1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and whizz until smooth!
